We have made every utmost effort to ensure that you get excellent learning and allied facilities at AIHE so that your stay is as comfortable as it can be possible with no compromise on your education. Some of the highlights of these services are listed below under different sections for your better understanding.
Air-conditioned classrooms are well lit, and adequately furnished with brand new sitting and allied accessories such as boards, overhead projectors, audible and visual tools, etc. The classroom environment is comfortable and ideally conducive to learning. The university also has a modern and well-equipped computer lab which is linked to a local area network using a backbone structure providing high speeding browsing and learning experience.
The library of the AIHE is a good addition for books lover in the region of Kharian and surrounding areas. The institute has a collection of more than 1500 books, journals, and periodicals on varied disciplines for students, faculty, the local community, and other education providers in the area. However, this facility for non-students of AIHE will be on a paid subscription basis and the amount generated will be exclusively used for improving the book bank of the library. Moreover, the AIHE has established an extensive network of collaboration with other libraries in the country for the facilitation of our users. The operational guidelines for benefiting from this network are available to the library staff. The library provides a quiet environment for studying and is also fitted with internet-based computers for research purposes and to access already arranged online resources for its users.
We at Askari Institute of Higher Education strongly believe that a healthy body leads to a healthy and sharp mind. AIHE has a separate sports section with a dedicated sports officer to assist all students at all times. Coaching lessons are also provided to students by professionals for technique improvement or learning of any new sport. The Institute has direct access to a national standard cricket ground and other sports facilities being managed by the Farabi Trust. Some of the indoor/outdoor sports that can be played at AIHE are cricket, badminton, volleyball, table tennis, chess, carom board, and snooker. AIHE has also set up arrangements with local grounds for shared facilities to cater needs of students in other sports such as football, basketball, etc.
A student book shop is present on campus that sells books, notebooks, and other stationery items. It also offers printing, photocopying, and binding facilities at subsidized rates as compared to the local market.
The institute has a campus-based café where a variety of hot and cold food along with beverages is available at subsidized rates. It is to be noted that a formal food street is under construction just outside the campus and will also have special packages for students, staff members, and faculty.
The campus has its dispensary where a full-time nurse is always available for assisting students with their general health and first aid. It is also pertinent to mention that AIHE is located within a 2 km distance from the Military Hospital in the Kharian Cant where arrangements have been agreed upon in case of any emergency.
A good and reliable but paid transport facility will be made available to all commuting students, faculty, and staff members from the surrounding areas.
At present separate prayer, rooms are available for males and females in the academic block. A mosque is also being constructed for this purpose.
All students will be engaged in industrial tours fully financed by the institute whereas recreational and leisure tours/trips will be contributory from students as well.
Institute has different professional, cultural, and entertainment societies as well as clubs for personal grooming and talent discovery of all students. Some of them include Software Development Club, Marketing and Advertising Club, Dramatic Club, Debate Society etc.
A separate section has been established for students to guide them in their careers. The role of the career advisory club is not only to provide assistance to students in their careers but also to work closely with the local industry and arrange: job fairs, mock interviews, internships, and placements. This club will also facilitate students who plan to engage in further studies elsewhere nationally or internationally.
We believe that we owe to the people of Kharian and its neighborhood, therefore, all students will be engaged and encouraged to participate in different sorts of community work which includes the following but is not limited to: street cleanliness, blood donations, tree plantation, arranging and delivering courses to schools on moral values and ethics etc.
